What brand of shirts do you use?
All of our tees are printed on high-quality Bella + Canvas shirts known for their softness, durability, and comfort. Dad-approved.
What sizes do you offer?
We offer sizes S through 2XL. Because dad humor comes in all shapes and sizes.
Are your products men’s, women’s, or youth sizes?
Our shirts are gender-neutral and fit most people ages 6 and up. If you like dad jokes, you’ll like these tees.
Do you carry inventory?
Nope. We’re a print-on-demand operation. Every shirt is made fresh when you order.
This also means we rarely run traditional “sales,” since we’re not carrying stock.
Do you offer custom shirts?
Not at this time. We only print designs from our official St. Louis Groan collection.

Why “groan”?
Because even our name is a dad joke. We’re a St. Louis–grown company delivering the finest St. Louis groans.
Where do you get the jokes?

A handful of St. Louis dads spent years passing dad jokes back and forth, hundreds at first, then over a thousand. We turned our worst (some would say the best?) ones into high-quality tees with low-quality jokes.
Are the jokes clean?
Absolutely. Every joke on our products is PG and family-friendly. No jokes about sex, sexuality, race, nationality, disability, drugs, alcohol, death, politics, or anything that could get a dad banned from the next school function. Just wholesome groans.
Can I submit a joke?
Yes! Send us your best groaner using the form below. If it’s new to us and it makes us laugh, we’ll put it on a shirt and send you the first one for FREE.
Who is Lou?
Lou is our beloved mascot, proudly featured in our logo. He embodies the classic dad from The 'Lou (aka: St. Louis, MO):
- A well-groomed flavor-saver
- A retro dad tee (complete with a nod to the high school our daughters attended. If you're from St. Louis, you'll know)
- A friendly expression that says, “This joke is going to hurt, but in a good way”
In short, Lou is the pun-loving spirit of St. Louis Groan.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico only. At this time, we do not ship internationally beyond those regions.
How long does shipping take?
Once your order is approved, it typically ships in 2–5 business days. Please allow additional time for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

Production Details
How are your shirts printed?
We print through Printify, using a U.S.-based print provider. Each shirt is created when you order, complete with that "new dad joke" smell.
What printing method is used?
Most tees are printed using DTG (direct-to-garment) technology, giving them a soft, vintage-style print that fits our retro dad aesthetic.
Will the print fade?
A little over time. Wash inside-out, cold, and gentle to keep your Groan Tee looking great.
Why does my shirt smell like vinegar?
Totally normal! It’s from the DTG pretreatment process and washes out on the first rinse.
